In order that the forum remains user friendly and informative please read this information. We want you to enjoy the time that you spend here, we do not want to be forced to heavily moderate or have to ban people so please take note and respect the fact that this is to ensure a healthy but lively forum.
Please adhere to the BE Site Rules | British Expatriate Community
Abusive posts There is zero tolerance for abusive posts and personal attacks. If you disagree with what another member is stating then feel free to give your opinion on the subject but do not resort to attacking the poster. This is for a couple of reasons, one is that people need to respect other members at all times and also that a point of view becomes lost when abuse is added. This is a helpful and friendly forum and it needs to remain that way.
Reporting Posts If you spot someone being abusive please use the report button and do not join in the argument.
Karma Using the Karma button is recommended as it is especially helpful when thanking a person for their help.
Topic Please stay on topic because valuable information can be lost if the thread suddenly changes tack.
New members Please be tolerant of new posters who may ask questions that you have answered repeatedly, remember that they are nervous of making mistakes regarding their new life. They are being thorough and doing sensible research so this needs to be respected. Also remember that often new members may not be able to return to the forum immediately due to their busy lives, please respect this and do not call them rude or ignorant as that may mean that they never return and take part.
Thank you for reading.
