I'm new on here - pleased to meet you.

I am a very keen photographer, just as a hobby / compulsive infatuation ;-)

I wonder if there are any other photographers around Toulouse who would like to meet up / get out and take pics together.

I especially enjoy visiting the villages around and about Toulouse and the surrounding beauty spots.
I also like taking pics in the city.

I am near Grenade / Castelnau north of Toulouse and work in Blagnac.

I'd love to hear from anyone from around the 31 / 82 / 81 departement who'd like to meet up, have a coffee / beer and share some creativity.

Hi combi31, how are you finding Toulouse? I will be moving to France in April and it is on my 'short list'. I've heard good and bad from people who have had weekend breaks there.

I love it - it's been home since 1999, I was in Charente before then - I like Toulouse much more.
The city is big, without being unmanageable.
It's well situated, although I do miss the real sea at times.
It depends what you are looking for, but I find it just perfect.

You'll definitely see a difference in the weather ;-) and the house prices too :-(

It's the weather which worries me. I like the climate in Brittany and don't like extremes especially the cold. Mind you we have had some snow in Brittany over the last few years (not this one yet!)

Looking on the Internet house prices aren't too different in the surrounding countryside but we would plan to keep the house in Brittany and rent an apartment.

We looked at buying in Carcassonne several years ago and prices were twice as much as Brittany but I have noticed they are a lot more reasonable now they are short of UK buyers
