Hi
Can anyone tell me whether there are Petrol Stations open in France on Christmas Day, will be in Calais then ready for a long drive down?

none that I know of, it's one of those holidays when everything is shut in France - you can use your debit cards at the petrol pumps but not sure if they accept UK ones. I know they didn't used to, but stand to be corrected

Hi Thanks for the info as long as they accept cards we will be ok (we have a French one) went to use it twice this year but OH forgot pin .................... guess he will have to have a tattoo for pressie!!
Any suggestions where?

If you have a French card, then you have no problems whatsoever. Don't worry.

I use my Nationwide flexaccount one ok in petrol station pay at pump things.

The way nationwide have mucked me about and cut me off from my funds three times now in six months I am seriously begining to doubt it. I am sure the bloke in the adverts is really their manager!

Nationwide FlexAccount Debit Card - Never leave UK without one

Don't forget though, even if your card doesn't work somebody will be along who will use their card for you in exchange for cash.
