Default Orange TV box

we still haven't sourced someone to put a dish on our roof, as it is too high. So we still only have UK tv.

is there a way of tuning my orange box to pick up English tv?

I just bought a splitter so I can get two coax off the one coming down from the roof. One goes to my Humax in the front room, rather than buying another Humax, can I get the orange box I have to pick up UK tv in the back room? I have tried, but no success.

I thought I would be able to tune both tele's into the one humax. That would do us, even though both tele's would show the same.

Hi, all this is too technical for me, but for what it's worth, our neighbours' satellite dish is on a 2-metre pole in their courtyard, 1 m from the house. Depending on your garden's orientation, would that be a solution for you?

No Orange use a different satellite to the UK TV on Astra so either an offset lnb or second dish.

Loy loy, (and others who may be interested)
When I've tested my internet speed in the past, I've used this link.
Just tried it again (using Orange LiveBox Pro) which gave me the following results:
PING: 67ms
Download speed: 1.53 Mbps
Upload speed: 0.81 Mbps
The server indicated was Toulouse (although we're about 2 hrs away).

To be honest I wouldn't really know if these results are poor or excellent, but I've always thought that our internet speed was pretty good on average.

Yes, Ookla is pretty much THE standard for testing Internet speed. I thought maybe Loy Loy could look at an Internet solution for his TV needs but he would need a minimum 2.5 Mbps download speed to stream TV (and a ping rather better than yours Tweedie!)

It's worth checking your broadband speed, plenty of other ways to get TV by Internet other than Orange

Download = 8.68
Upload = 0.85

I have 2 outputs on my Humax, if I run a coax from one to another TV, does that mean I have freesat on both, albeit the same channel

As we're certainly not 'out in the sticks', any idea why our download speed is so slow? Having said that I have no problem whatsoever streaming catch-up French tv on our Smart Samsung.

That's pretty good; easily enough for Now TV which gives you BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, Channel 4 and Five plus as much Sky as you're prepared to pay for. Check it out here:- Watch Movies, TV shows & Sports online instantly | NOW TV

That is terrible TP. Check what your neighbours have and if they have more then there is a problem on your line and your provider should fix it pronto.

No........ It's a loopback feed to fool the humax box into thinking it's on a twin lnb when it's not.
