Cool New School & Medical worries

Hi, we are planning our move to the Charente (Angouleme) region and 2 things worry us - firstly we need to find a school for our 15 yr old son, he speaks a little french and although is really keen to move to France will feel happier in a school that speaks at least some English!
Worry number 2 is a member of the family has diabetes and needs regular medication - we have to begin to trawl through the medical insurance, doctor registration etc and would happily welcome any advise.
Otherwise - we can't wait!!!!
