Hi, it's standard in their houses (the building company), and also, we have moved a lot since being in France and looked at many new builds (both for rent and for sale), all of which didn't have sockets in each room (well, except for plug sockets of course), one didn't even have a window in a bedroom, cause the couple who built it forgot and it was over looked by their archiect
Sorry if your reply wasn't to me and I'm rambling on, not got to grips with this forum yet
