Medipole clinics
What are Medipole clinics in France? I have used one to have a blood test, and know someone who went to the Urgences there. However I have another friend who used them for an emergency, and he got turned away!!! How are they funded, and when can you use them. They seem to have outpatient clinics there, so are open to all, but just unsure when I can and can't use them. My local public hospital is horrible, but the Medipole looks private. It also has a nicer feel to it, and the staff are excellent.

P.S. Have just googled Cliniques Médipôle and they are indeed private. The results give the Médipôles in the various regions. As they are private, check how much the Sécu would reimburse you for any treatment there....

Thanks DMU. It just confused me, as the public can use it for bloods etc, and you can have outpatient RDV there without being private????

Maybe it's private, but still "conventionnée". I confess I don't know what arrangements private clinics have with the Sécu. You'd have to ask when making an appointment, in order not to have a nasty surprise!
