Goodness knows how many people made daft promises on what they would do if the French team qualified for the World Cup.
Did you see that one French MP stated that if France qualified he would wear flips-flops into the National Assembly the following day.

Yes, I read that one of the French newscasters had promised to appear 'in the raw' if Les Bleus qualified. Think it was on Canal Plus. Didn't watch it though - Mme TP had other ideas!
