Can anyone recommend a company/shop which sells large carpets 300x400

Depends what you want really. Do you mean carpet or rug?
We found decent size rugs and carpets on a roll in quite a few places . There are several shops in the larget town and cities near us - Poitiers and Angouleme. I think even M Bricolage stocks them, but good carpets are more difficult - especially if you want the edges whipped or finished.

Saint Maclou are supposed to be the carpet specialists, although we've never purchased from them. In fact we're carpet-less, as are many French homes.
Believe you'd have a choice of a store in Agen, Toulouse or Tarbes.

A couple of big carpet shops on the Route d'Espagne in Portet in Toulouse which have decent quality carpet not the usual cheap horrible stuff found in DIY shops.

Hi,
I've bought several beautiful carpets from an Internet company called CarpetVista that specializes in oriental carpets, curiously based in Sweden. The biggest one measures 5,50 by 3,50 metres. A bit ott but well worth it. Their range is huge, the quality is very good, the photos give a good idea of what one is buying, delivery is included in the price and is efficient and swift. I must have bought at least half a dozen from them and would recommend them wholeheartedly. Take a look at their website.

Aside from your rug, I'm fascinated why it is almost exactly 7 years since your previous post. Did you forget your password

We contacted Saint Maclou once and they wanted to do a devis on line. They wanted me to measure the whole area and then they gave me a quote by email?? I feel sure they would of had to come out at some point to confirm a devis? Not straight forward but probably the only place I know apart from cheap Castorama rubbish off the role.

And then there are those of us who just post the same thing again and again and again.
