Default Knackered

After a weekend of three children and the lurgy I'm knackered. That's it only two more to go and that means miles of stories.

I don't know - they're certainly quiet now.

I was always more suspicious of "quiet" than noise - quiet usually meant major mischief was being committed, just quietly.

Ours is also two (today actually), but on the contrary she shouts "KA KA!!" when she is filling her nappy. Wants the whole world to know. Gives us about a 2 second warning to try to get her to the potty, I think she's playing games with us.

Hi,
My son is just 15 months old and grunts when having a number 2
anyway went all Tom and Barbara Good at the weekend in the garden with the little man.
Planted cherry tomatoes, melons and peppers after 2 hours i was knackered with telling him not to eat everything he touches.
Problem is i had the feeling we were being watched,by several hundred eyeballs in the undergrowth......SNAILS!!....to be honest i like them but they like eating the plants and i collected with little man a good hundred.
seen people collecting them for tucker ? i like the resturant ones but garden criters no thanks.
So all you Good life people have any better ideas than poison(dangerous for little man)beer trap or in Mr kia ora case shooting gallery

If you have Squarish beds you want to protect make up some smallish stakes on the top of them fix a bit of marine ply 4x4 cm drive these into the ground around the bed about 50 cm apart then fix two strands Electric Fence wire to the top between half and 1 cm apart making sure that it is not more than 1 cm off the ground ideally running the wire through some non conductive tube on the stakes other wise it can short when it's damp . Then fix one wire to Positive and the other to Negative on a Car Battery or use a Animal Electric Fence unit (Although the latter may cause you children to go ouch)Stops Snails dead in their tracks. The last Village we lived in had a Snail Museum (Very Strange I know) anyway this is how he kept the little buggers contained in their beds thousands of the sodding things for eating. They hate electric shocks and they do learn to stay away from the wires.

You would have to round up the bed to be sure there are no eggs in the soil other wise you end up containing them in the garden bed.
