Default I need branston pickle!! (in Provence)

I need branston pickle ... and Extra mature cheddar ... do I stand a chance of finding this in Auchan? Found some places online in Paris but 4 euros a jar + 8 euros shipping is a bit excessive!!

Our local Auchan and Carrefour sell them both in Normandy
With the exchange rate, the cheese works out cheaper to buy in France than UK

If you didn't find any in Auchan, try Intermarché for Branston Pickle which I noticed this morning. Super U sells "Seriously Strong Cheddar".
Bon appétit!

Get a life. Why the heck did you move to France if your desires are so limited?

The OP might simply want to show some French guests what an English Ploughman's Lunch is....
I used to buy Birds Custard powder to show my in-laws the difference between English custard and crème anglaise, but I haven't bought any for decades....

exactly - we've done the same for our neighbours here, but even if not, what's wrong with looking for something you enjoy

Make your own http://www.recipezaar.com/The-Almost...-Recipe-246675.
I like to play about with the recipe by adding small silverskin onions.

Have a big pickling day when you can pickle eggs and beetroot too. The lidded jars are common enough.

Sorry to have rattled some of you. My words were, on reflection, somewhat crass without a fuller picture.

Possibly, like some of you, I come across Brits who want to live in France, cherry pick the bits of French life they like (wine?) and import as much as they can from the UK. And, they make no attempt to learn or speak French.

Again, apologies for any annoyance caused.
