French strike
Just saw that the strike today - didn't even realise there was one - had a really low turn out Did wonder if we were going to follow the Spanish, but maybe we'll be lucky and not have more strikes over the summer

I was in Tours yesterday, there was quite a big demonstration, procession, banners, police, etc and a firework was let off. Wasn't sure what it was about, also heard on the radio reports about disruptions to the rail service.
None of the above was enough to affect our train travel or shopping though
