Default French Investment Property

Hi all,

I'm an English expat living in South Western Australia and wondered if any of you could offer me some advise.

I'm thinking of buying a property in the French Alps with the thought of renting it out. Can anybody give me any idea of where I stand with tax and associated fees and charges from a property manager. I will still be living in Australia so not at all sure if I would be paying double tax. I have friends of friends who have bought in Switzerland but the property managers fees are very high.

Any comments would be much appreciated.
