Default Electronics engineer

Please has anyone got any ideas of companies that employ electronics engineers or areas in France which specialise in this field. I am fluent in French and I have tried but can't seem to find much. (looking for my husband)
Is it true that you need contacts to get a job in France? I think he would be sought after as he is a very talented electronics engineer but I just don't know where to look.

Any ideas at all? if not I'm afraid I'll get stuck moving to Sillicon Valley in the US!

Hi, the French answer to Silicon Valley is in Sophia Antipolis, on the Côte d'Azur.

Your OH could send his CV and lettre de motivation to all the big companies mentioned on the site (scroll down to Informatique...).
Or Google is your friend: "recrutement ingénieurs électroniques" - a lot depends on which sector he is interested in. "Electronics" is vast!
Hope this helps!

Thank you VERY much for that pointer. Sophia Antipolis looks great too. I feel a glimmer of hope!
He works with the latest touch screen technology btw.

Thanks!

Welcome to the Forum, Cant comment on the cities but in the more rural locations being the first person to respond and be interviewed for a job usually gets you work around these parts. Even if you do get an interview not hearing from the employer again is very common. Having come from a professional working environment in the UK I was stunned with for want of a better word how rude the French can be to people in regards to employment. My OH had issues with her patron shouting across a restaurant at her in front of customers.
