Default Drfip Alsace et du Bas-Rhin

Sorry about the odd title, but it will attract members who may have had the same shock as we did.
Our Bank Statement for last month showed a "prélèvement" by the above recipient for a sum that we didn't recognize. Since we don't have any connections with Alsace, I thought our account had been hacked (again), but luckily I thought of googling Drfip, which turned out to be a Regional Tax Office, and another result gave a forum full of tax-payers all over France, most of whom had received a transfer from that Office and wondered why. For some obscure reason, various Regional Tax Offices can receive taxes or reimburse overpayments anywhere in the country.....
The bottom line being that the sum automatically debited was our "2ème tiers"
Hope this fiscal waffle is useful for any one puzzled by their Bank Statement!
