If you lived in Lannemaignan which is probably the furthest point from Toulouse in Gers it would only take 2 hour's by car to Blagnac airport ;) and then Pau PyrÃ©nÃ©es Airport is only an hour away. I don't see how anyone can be 5 hours away from an airport here unless they are walking or driving the long way round.

Do you have children? I'm sure the local teacher would be delighted to help you. Otherwise you can try to find an expat or a teacher (look at online ads on leboncoin, people who give english courses) and ask them to come with you, you could probably pay them to go with you.
