Default Carcassonne and vicinity!

Hi everyone,

I'm a student from London who's currently in Hamburg, Germany on my year abroad and working in a school here. I'm due to come to France at the beginning of June to work in the bar of a youth hostel there for the summer (just to get some French speaking practice).

I come here to ask what to expect there because I only really know Paris in France. Never been to the south and I don't know anybody there either.
I'm used to the big city life but willing to give this a go for the summer.

I like my nightlife - a lot! Is it any good there? Or does one have to travel to places like Narbonne/Toulouse for a decent night in those parts? That's all I care about really - ha! Typical student

Kidding, if you just give me an insight into what sort of place C'onne is like in the summer that will be greatly appreciated too.

I'm also gay but I'm not even gonna ask about gay nightlife - I'm not expecting one!

Thanks everyone

Toulouse isn't called the pink city just for the colour of its housing!
Carcassonne may be a little quiet for a party person but Toulouse isnt too far away

Such a shame that Roger O isn't with us any more, he could have given you loads of info on Carcassonne. I've only ever been during the day, so can't tell you about the night scene!
If you post a couple more times, I'll send you a pm.

Welcome to the Forum, You will probably prefer nights out in Toulouse, Carcassonne gets busy in the summer and it has more than it's fair share of Brits in and around the area.
