Hi there -
I live in the UK, but need to declare my income from renting our french ski place - its my first time filing so as far as I can tell you can't fill the form out online, but I can only find downloadable versions on impots.gouv.fr of the forms for previous years (2012 2013, 2014) nothing for 2015.
Please help!

https://www.service-public.fr/partic...osdroits/R1281 says this year's form won't be available until end April/early May. Keep checking back. You can't download it until they put it online.

I've just been to the 'Service Public fr' site referred to in #2 above, and note that the form 2042 for 2015 income is now available.
We've always submitted paper copies, and will do the same this year.
However just for the hell of it, I've been reading the notes applicable to online declaration, and noticed a few comments of interest that I wasn't aware of. (Translation follows):-
If your income tax reference for 2014 was more than € 40k and your residence has access to the internet, your tax return must be performed online. However, if you think you are not able to do so, you can continue using a paper return. (A wonderful bit of confusing wordplay imho).
Equally of interest for future years, I note:-
If your primary residence has internet access, you will have the obligation to declare online:
- in 2017 if your income tax reference for 2015 is >€ 28k
- in 2018 if your income tax reference for 2016 is >€ 15k
- in 2019 all users will have to declare online regardless of their income tax reference if their primary residence is equipped to access the internet.
Which of course begs the question, will they know from the internet providers those who do or do not have access to the internet?
And those dear little old souls who may have had the internet installed by a younger family member solely for Skype contact, and are otherwise to all intents & purposes computer illiterate. How will they cope in future years?
Wasn't that just another of the many 'solemn promises' by Flamby, to give all seniors a very generous allowance to enable them to pay an accountant to complete their online tax returns........

The 2042 form is downloadable here and has been available for some time:-
Impots.gouv.fr - Recherche de formulaires
You have to type in 2016 in the year in order to get the declaration for 2015.
