Default Health Insurance provider for MM2H pgm?

In connection with the MM2H pgm, can someone recommend an insurance company in Malaysia who can quote a reasonable price for annual health insurance - based on a male in his early 50's.

Kind regards

Tony (UK)

Recommend I can't, but do a google search for health / medical insurance companies in Malaysia. There are many here - AIA, Prudential, John Hancock, MNI, MAA, Allianz etc. Not sure if the provide plans specific to MM2H program, but you can try contacting them anyway.

There is no scheme here like the NHS in UK, and policies generally cover for major illness / surgeries , hospital stay etc. For "normal" illness, you just walk into a clinic to see a GP, and pay for consultation and medicine.

Thank you.
Someone else (offline) mentioned ING Insurance - so, between both of you, I have more than enough to shop around with!.
Again, many thanks.

Here is a table of the various programmes and prices for healthcare for expats; it has prices for a single male (non-smoker) aged 65 but you would need to get a specific quote for your needs and location....there is a check-list so you can contact the companies directly:

Hope this helps!

Thank you Englishmum.

Manulife (in KL) has already quoted me 'minimum sum assured is about RM1100.00 for
standard risk'.You also get a 14 day 'cooling-off' period.
