Chiang Mai
I am basing myself in Chiang Mai this Winter for 3 months and wonder if anyone can help me with a few things.
Can I open a bank account on just a 30 day tourist visa?
Would like to go to Laos but have heard lately that it's not safe around Vang Viang and that tourists have been killed??
I am into fishing....does anyone know anything about fishing around the Chiang Mai area? More bait fishing than lure...are there any other dangers ie poisonous fish/snakes etc? What species of fish are in the river/lakes?
Also into running, apart from Hash House Harriers are there any other running clubs in Chiang Mai? Does anyone train at the track? Where are the best places to go running ie with no dogs chasing you! If there are any runners who will be there from beginning November and would like to meet up for a run, please contact me
