Wedding in Croatia
Hello,
I've ventured here from the NZ forum to ask some advice on wedding locations around the Split and islands off of Split area. Some friends of ours are hoping to get married there next year but are lost in where to choose. They want total privacy for around 30/35 people. Open to islands such as Vis and Brac. Open to places like Trogir or similar. They don't have the funds to fly over and check places out before making a decision.
Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated 😊

gives info on the documents to be submitted at the Town Hall and what steps must be taken before the Big Day. Unlike France, for example, there's no minimum residency period to comply with, but there's a time line and plenty of documents to collect and get translated....

According to "Essential facts" in the link, your friends need to check with the local Registry Office before booking anywhere - they must obtain its approval for a civil ceremony not taking place in the Town Hall, and remember that a court-appointed interpreter must be present if neither of them speaks Croatian. Croatia sounds as bureaucratic as France!
