Default The moving process

Hi all, We are moving with two kids and a full house of stuff from Norway to Tayside.

As a general rule whats the best way to move the big, large things that we will only need once we are in the next house. These items will not be needed during our stay in temporary accomodation.

We plan to stay in temporary accomodation until we get a house sorted out.

Would we be better to hire a big container, load it our selves, pay to move it to Tayside, park it somewhere private until the house is secured, them empty it ourselves.

Or is there a better way of doing things.
We are on a budget so cannot write blank cheques to removal companies.

I do appriciate the skill and expertise of removal firms, its just that we are not in a position to pay for anything that we can, in theory, do ourselves.

Thanks for reading

Alan
