Can anyone help?
What is the best international medical cover to get?
I have heard something about a good medical cover scheme in Switzerland.
Has anyone heard about it?
It appears to me that most of them have a very high excess amount and you still have to pay for additional costs on top of monthly premium.
Of course not knowing what illness you may eventually suffer from you may not be covered in your monthly outlay.
There are some policies where if you do not claim over a 5 year period that they will convert the monies into life insurance.
Not sure if this is even a good idea.
All I am looking to do is provide a good overall coverage of health care for myself and my wife.
Not knowing in what country we are going to live it seems to be very difficult to find the right sort of policy.
Any ideas anyone?

Yes, decide where you are going first.
What flavor of insurance and other things you'll need will come clear when you know what the specific options are.

What I'm saying is that it might be a cart/horse sort of thing.
