Left hand drive vehicles for sale in the UK
Hi
Does anyone know of any good websites selling LHD vehicles in the UK. We are looking for something along the lines of a minibus/campavan. Will even consider a commercial vehicle, if it came to it, for our relocation to Spain

You would be better off buying when you get there.
1: If you bought here you would have to change the headlights. Thats if you intend to keep the car in spain, after six months.
2: It would cost you a fortune in ferry fees, especially going to satander.
3: When you fianally get there, you have got six months before you need spanish plates. and that is a hell of alot of hassle unless you want to go back home every 6 months, and returning.
Its not worth it.
but if you still want to go aheah try AUTO TRADER, EXCHANGE and MART
they both have LHD sections.

The Spanish police are clamping down on forigen vehicles now ,so you must keep your tax and MOT upto date ,and leave the Country every six months , so a visit to France is ok but you may be asked to prove it.
The cheapest way to cross to France is on www.speedferries.com its about £50 one way.

Hi Cid and Cowboy-Builder
Many thanks for the advice. Seems likie we will have to revise our plans! As an alternative option what about hiring a van from a company like Hertz for about 2 weeks or so, driving it out there, buing a local vehicle and then dropping off the minibus.
Any thoughts or advice on this option
All the best

Try to buy from a garage, they will change the paperwork also in the price.
Private sales are a bit risky, when you change the paperwork you could end up with all the outstanding fines etc.
I know someone who had the car taken away cos the roadtax had not been paid for a few years and it had been de-registered.
Which means it has to be registered again, before he gets it back.
