Default German Mark Inquiry

My father (80 years old) recently handed me a german mark he got when he was in germany in wwii. It looks real and has "50000" under a picture of a person with a flat hat, also what looks like a serial number under the "50000".
Can you get me in thouch with someone who can tell me what it is. or how much it is really worth.
Please repond.

Ive seen these. Could be one issued by the occupating allies to kick start the economy. I doubt if you can get it changed now. It might be worth something to a collector, but as I remember, there were so many introduced that the ones I saw last year were not worth anything monatarily.
