Default Anyone in Belgium? Brussels

Hello there

My husbands 86 year old Father is married to a Belgian, they spend half their time in the UK and half in Brussels.
Trouble is, he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. It makes more sense for him to live in the Brussels apartment rather than the house in the UK. Just because it is smaller, easier to maintain independence etc.

However, the family are concerned about medical cover, he uses only his emergency cover at the moment.

So the question would be, Can anyone advise about the medical cover that would be required?

Many thanks

Insufficient info , Tracie !
Where is their abode in Bru ?
The best would be for the wife to enquire with their Mutualite !
E121 ? etc...

This is a bit mixed up, you can only be resident in one country at a time.
He can get a form from DWP in the UK to cover him in Belgium, but this will void his cover in the UK, apart from emergency cover on his Belgian EHIC .
If the wife is Belgian, she must have cover there, can`t she add him onto her OAP health cover ?

Thanks both, I will find out what cover she has and see whether she can enquire about adding him.
They are residents in their respective countries i.e. she is Belgian he is English, and they have both retained their houses. They only got married about 10 years ago.
