the safe isolation can be a nightmare if not done right, somebosy mentioned all you need to do is switch the breaker of then its isolated.
There is a procedure from startt o finish, get this wrong & you fail the entire day its as simple as that.

Just remember to test from the main earth to the chassis of the appliance for earth continuity BEFORE you even take the lid off the appliance, and test your meter before and after any test, be it continuity, insulation resistance(functional tests by either pressing the test button on IR or dabbing the leads together for continuity), or live testing (before and after on a known live source). Your trying to prove that your testing in the safest way possible.
