Default TRY SWITCHBOARD COMPANIES

hi

I would recommend any electricians who have just come over and are waiting or doing there oz wiring regs or license try getting work at switchboard companies.

I arrived last year and have been working in Brisbane for PM switchboards for the last 8 months.
I had my license before I got the job but they pay you as a ta if you don't thats until you sort out the license etc then the money goes up.
Very good company to work for, And plenty of contracts coming up.
As long as you have the correct visa's and qualifications give them a try.

hope this helps

Daz

Hi Daz,
Thanks for that. Could you possibly list the names of companies worth trying.
Also, which route did you take to get your licence, ie PEER or gap training in QLD? If it was PEER, did you have trouble gaining a QLD licence from a SA licence under mutual recognition?
Cheers Derren
