vinnypot is an unknown quantity at this point
Default power factor

would i be right in thinking that if you have a low power factor the current will lead the voltage? sad i know could be watching the open

In a capacitive circuit the current will lead the voltage in an inductive circuit the current will lag the voltage. Which is why you fit a capacitor to an inductive circiut to bring the p.f. closer to unity.
