Default The Ozzy Wiring and Regs thread ASK HERE!

This is for all the sparkies currently working in Australia to answer questions about common working practices, regs and how the Ozzies expect you to do things.

A bit of a heads up for the sparkies emigrating to Oz.

Ill go first....

How does the certification work in Oz, how does it compare with say NIC forms?? Dont seem to me like they have testing and inspection as such, just tick boxes??

Thats more like it! NIC Who?!

Although we all bang on about how much red tape is involved in actually getting licenced it must be loads easier in terms of signing jobs off. All I seem to do is paperwork in the UK.
Are there different certs for periodics, minor works etc or does 1 cover all?
