Hi guys,
Im currently working for a massive energy supplier in UK. My work consists of maintaining a working 11kv system and heavy dealings in the telecoms side of the radio controlled sub stations and also installation of fibre optic cabling. I also have experience as an 11kv fitter.
When looking through various visa websites I found the the title closest to my job description is Overhead Line Person. Ideally I would like to keep to this line of work, but if all else fails I would have to go back to sparking, but Im kind of put off that as I have heard some horror stories about the quality of work.
Is there anyone on here that is currently working with an electricity supply company anywhere in OZ?
Does UK electrician qualifications have any meaning in OZ?
Cheers,
Dan
