Default Electronic Service Technician

Hi all

I see that Electronic service technician is on the New Zealand immidiate skills shortage list, and it states that you have to have "National Certificate in Electronic Technology Level 4 or equivalent".
What is level 4 equivalent too?
I have the following qualifications. BTEC ONC Electrical/Electronic engineering and NVQ 2 & 3 Engineering maintenance, part of my apprenticeship, oh and 8 years work experience. Would this be enough to be equivalent, as if I include this I can bump myself upto 130 points.

Cheers, Bert

Have you looked into the pay rates before you look at going there?

Not very much, it was my understanding that it could be anywhere up to 70k max. Please don't tell me its going to be 35k or something bad like that, my plans were based on at least 50k.

I don't know what the pay rates are but there are alot of New Zealanders here in Western Australia and they say that the pay rates are better here.

I'd do a little more research to make sure your going to get what you want.

Anything from about $28 per hour upwards (once fully licenced). Obviously depending where you work, who you work for, which industry you are in etc etc.
