Electrical Maintenance Engineer with PLC skills!
Hi
I am an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley PLC experience. I have a HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
I am interested in emigrating to NZ (Christchurch area possibly) and am concerned about the following:
Getting the necessary points to qualify for a Skilled Immigrant Visa,
Finding similar employment in a manufacturing environment,
What the salary is like in this type of industry!
I currently work in the UK for a soft drinks manufacturer, but also have experience in chemical engineering.
I would be very interested in hearing from someone with any knowledge in this area!
Cheers
Dave

Re: Electrical Maintenance Engineer with PLC skills!
Hi,
You have good potential in OZ you can migrate easily as you are in CSL, first you need to get your skills assessed by engineers Australia if you want to come as an engineer, or by TRA as an electrician.
you will get plenty of jobs in programming if you know Simatic manager, Wincc, RSL,500,5000 etc..
i wish you best of luck
