Hi
My fiance and I are looking to immigrate to Australia. I am currently working as Electrical Building Maintenance Engineer Supervisor with an Electrical Installation City and Guilds qualification. I have worked in this industry for the last six years and four years apprenticeship.

I would like to know if there is a alot work in Australia for this kind of role?

Would it be building based or working on the mines?

What are the names of some the M/E companies I could be looking for work with?

You'll probably be eligible for an independent skilled visa or state sponsored skilled visa.

Just to be clear, you are a maintenance spark? Then yeah, there's plenty of maintenance jobs on the mines. The rosters are more family friendly as well I think, although the money's probably not quite as good as construction.
