Default current TRA processing time

Hi
My Oh and I are flying to aus in august on my 457 visa. We have decided not to apply from the UK for 'a' grade licence via TRA for my hubbie because they seem to have got wise to the fact that lots of people aren't actually in Oz when they apply.

Anyone got any updates on how long processing time is at present?

cheers

Hi there,
Why not apply from the UK anyway? If you provide an Australian address and then forward your application to the address , which in turn can be posted to the TRA , giving the illusion that you are in OZ. Worst ways, they can only not process it , but at least your application would already be submitted and you will then only have to submit proof of residence.
Regards Derren

Thanks for the advice. we were going to do that originally but then I saw on here that alot of people were getting told they could only apply from the UK.

Also if we did so that what date would you put for the arrival date in Australia? We would have to lie to make it convincing and I'm not sure about that!
