Hi all,
Have all my evidence gathered for my artc and have a few queries??
What exactly do i need stamped/certified?? is it every page i send off or just the photocopies of my certificates and stat dec?
Do i send over original refs or photocopies of them??
As regards the stat dec. i couldnt get 2 of my refs so im submitting a stat dec. Do i just send off the 1 as regards the 2 companies or do i have to submit 2 separate stat dec?
A friend of mine is a managing director of his company. is it ok for him 2 certify/ sign & stamp everything for me? if so is there anything else he needs 2 do??
Any help would be much appreciated.
Regards
Gordon

Hi
All photocopies have to be signed as 'certified true copies' do not send originals.
On the TRA website a certifying person is defined as: "A person who is allowed to confirm documents and/or witness legal declarations under the laws of YOUR country."
I had mine signed by a solicitor as although I had to pay I felt it was the safest option.
I have only worked for one company so only needed one reference which I just sent the original as it was signed by the company director and being on headed paper, had all contact details on it.
Hopefully someone else can help you with the stat dec question
Good luck

Personally, I did separate stat decs as I thought squeezing six separate employers including my apprenticeship into one was a bit much.
Can't see a problem with 2 on the same document but then I'm no legal expert. If you've used a migration agent then it may be worth asking them or posting a thread on the immigration, visas and citizenship forum.

Hi all,
Just booked an appointment with the Justice of the Peace at the local Sherriff's court (magistrate in the rest of the UK)and they are signing and witnessing my 5 stat decs for FREE. They also do certified true copies for free but the migration agent we used has already agreed to do this for free also.
