underground utility work cyprus

Hi guys can anyone help or advise on any energy companys that may hire in cyprus for underground utility work ie cable laying just looking again for options for the future .

Sorry no-one is replying. I'm guessing cos there is only one energy supplier in Cyprus (correct me if I'm wrong someone!). That's the EAC, you could try them, but not sure how recruitment works with them

Honest_H is right - it's still a state monopoly, so little chance of getting a job there. It is supposed to be opened up to competition as part of the EU accession, but the country is so small that no private company has yet been bothered to challenge the status quo.
You might have more luck with the general construction companies who hire foreigners for road laying, pipe laying and that kind of thing under contract to the government. However, most of the foreign labour they take on is either Eastern European or Asian and the wages on offer are very low. Also with the general slow down in construction of new houses and hotels there's high unemployment in construction work.

Well thankyou for the information i guess i will maybe have to look at other work available if we are to make the move
