You should try Northern Cyprus... mush less spoilt and many more opportunities!!! I have lived and worked here 7 years and i wouldn't go anywhere else! x

I have been looking at Cyprus myself. On balance it seems much better than Spain or even Greece.
My concern would be that with the decline in tourism the economy might suffer and make a move a very risky option with a family? But saying that its going to get a closer look with a fact finding mission planned.
To add, I am self employed in building services (plumbing, heating, electrical) here in UK.
