Default Thinking about Returning to Cyprus

I left U k and moved to Cyprus 9 years ago then left, presently in Asia and looking to leave having doubts about UK, my two dogs are from Cyprus.

I have seen pet friendly apartments for rent.

I would look to rent rather than buy in the Larnaca/Oroklini area as that is where I bought and lived before leaving 2005 prior to the joining of the EU.

I really would appreciate any info on pricing ,utilities, car purchase , Ins ,
Banking situation,health care etc.

Anything an ex pat with a UK pension needs to be aware of also if there are any issues safety wise for single woman.

Many thanks

You will see a big difference since you last lived in Cyprus. Property rental prices are falling, so you should get a good deal. Goes without saying, go through a registered Estate Agent. Car purchase should be easy, as many people are leaving and selling their cars, so another good deal to be had.

Thanks for your reply...I'm unsure as to what paperwork required to enter Cyprus now it is under EU. How easy it is to open bank account.I have also read about having to have Health insurance unclear if that is for non EU or everyone.
