Hello All
My partner and I are looking to retire to Cyprus in 2016.
We would like a long term rental but are unsure of where the best area
to live would be.
We will be in Cyprus in September 2013 to take a look around.
Has anyone out there got any suggestions or advice?
Thanks
Dave

The Paphos area is the most popular area for retirement. It has large expats communities as well as expats living among the local Cypriot population.
Paphos town has everything you need for living and for entertainment while the villages are quieter but usually just a short drive from town.
The North of the Paphos area, the Polis district is quieter but becoming more popular with expats recently. It has a stunning coastline with a backdrop of foothills and the Paphos forest.

Paphos is not the palce it used to be. Many businesses have closed down. Suggest you try to base yourself in say Limassol, as it is in the centre of Cyprus. You can travel all around the island and the distances are not so great. Do travel around and see for yourselves and maybe you will be lucky and find your ideal spot.
