Default Overcoming territorial restrictions on Internet?

Hi

I am a UK resident in Cyprus who subscribes to Last.fm and other sites which are subject to territorial restrictions (including those of several UK bookmakers). In order to circumvent these restrictions, I have investigated using a service called Ultimate IP Changer, and also Unblock-Us.com.

What I would like to know is, what is the best means of gaining access to geographically restricted content – a proxy server, VPN, or any other means? Could anyone recommend any specific proxy/VPN, especially one which is relatively straightforward for a non-techie like myself?

Many thanks in anticipation of your assistance.

I just use Expat Shield, it's a bit advert heavy, but it works and it's free.
