We've stayed there a lot and celebreated my 50th birthday there with friends and family along. The staff were fab, and made it a great day. It's a lovely place and probably the best hotel on the island (well in the South not tried the North). Not cheap, but worth it.

Thanks for that - we took a chance and booked it a couple of days ago so looking forward to going in a few months time. Apart from the village square. are there any independant shops and bars to walk to?

You will need a car unless you are happy to just eat in the village square and hotel etc as it is very expensive to eat there. Drinks are also very expensive.
There is nowhere within walking distance from Aphrodite hills.

Thanks for that - luckily we have got a deal on the accomodation that includes meals. We are planning on hiring a car for a few days at the start of the holiday so will stock up on drinks etc in Paphos.

Very nice resort indeed, but it is on the expensive side.

Make sure you get out to sample some of the surrounding areas during your visit.
