Is it worth contacting your MP?
Hi,
I know many of you will feel my pain but I'm becoming really disheartened with the wait. We have a very straight forward case. I'm a UK citizen, I've been earning way over the threshold for many years and have provided evidence of this, I have suitable accommodation, we have been married and living together for 3 years, we have been a couple for 8 years with plenty of evidence to support this. We paid priority and are over the 30 BD. We have escalated when the 30BD expired but received a generic email response saying 'we cannot give a time scale etc.' (we received this email on a Sunday btw which makes me think it's not even from the decision making centre). I just don't know what else to do. Christmas is coming up and I desperately want my husband home. Is there anything we can do at this point apart from wait? Has anyone had success in contacting their MP? Is it worth us emailing my employers to see if they've been contacted? Do UKVI normally contact employers etc by phone or do they send emails that may have ended up in their junk mail? Is it worth escalating again?

Re: Is it worth contacting your MP?
I’ve not seen any evidence that contacting your MP is helpful in speeding up a decision.
