UK Citizenship, please help!
Can anyone help me?
My name is Ben, I am an Australian Citizen born to a British Mother before 1983. I am currently living in Australia and I am finding it a bit confusing as to how I apply for British Citizenship. Can you please answer the below questions for me?
1) Is a form UKM the correct form for me to fill out to apply for a British Citizenship?
3) Do I need to send my original supporting documents? If so, how do I get them returned?
4) What is the fee for this?
I have looked on all websites!
Thanks

Yes UKM is the correct form.
Send originals of your birth certificate, your mother's birth certificate and parents marriage certificate and a photo copy of the photo page of your passport. (you may need your passport for travel reasons).
Documents will be returned to the British Consulate nearest your location
The consulate will contact you by email regarding details of the citizenship ceremony.
In my Canadian wife's case this was Vancouver (we live in Edmonton). Made for a nice mid-week vacation.
Fee: £80

Thanks so much, do you need to send payment for return of documents? Or is this included in the £80? So therefore we would have a ceremony somewhere in Australia?
Gets very confusing! Thanks again )

Call the British High Commission with your location details. They should be able to tell you which consulate will handle your citizenship ceremony.
Scroll to bottom of page for contact info.
