Still collecting documents to get ready for our imminent spouse visa application, but was wondering if there is a standard required for who does the translation work. We live in China and have read about some people doing it themselves. Is this recommended? I was leaning towards finding an established company in order to be safe, but of course they charge more for the service.

Any relevant knowledge on this is much appreciated. Thanks.

Also, my wife got the TB cert yesterday and there was a box 'accompanying children' which had been filled out as a 0. Is this just for who was present at the test or if a child is included in the application?

Just a bit confused because we do have a child so hoping its not going to be an issue (Our son is Brit so no issue with visas).
