Surinder Singh Route - A Few Questions
Hello everybody,
I recently found out about the Surinder Singh Route and have a few questions that I hope you can help me with. Firstly, is this still a viable option after the vote for leaving the EU. I read that the UK earlier this year had agreed a number of laws with the EU that could see this route stopped. I'm guessing that this didn't come into effect because of the vote for leave?
Secondly, my wife is Chinese and we were married in China. Would I need to get the marriage certificate translated before arrival in the EU country? My wife currently has a 2 year multiple entry tourist visa for the UK, so as we understand she can enter Ireland on this visa, however first we must enter the UK and then travel to Ireland. She would then be given the 90 day stamp in Ireland and can then convert to a Residence Card after I exercise my treaty rights by working in Ireland. Have I understood this correctly?
Thank you for your help!
