Default Spouse Visa and Conviction (??)

Hi

This is my first post on here so apologies if I am repeating something already discussed.

My partner is currently on a T5 visa which expires Oct 18. whilst he has been in the Uk he has managed to get 2 speeding tickets (one in May 17 and one in Oct 17). He paid the fine for the first but didn't realise he had to send off his paper license so a court summons is now in process (which we discovered following refund of his payment of the fine)for a court appearance which is likely to be in early 2018. He will plead guilty by post as he is back in Australia until March 2018. I dealt with the second offence as he had already returned to Australia so I paid the fine and had his license endorsed via email communication with the relevant authorities. My question is, will the fine he is likely to receive in court with regards to the 1st speeding offence have an impact on any visa application (whether this be spouse of FLR if we marry before his T5 visa expires). will this be classed as a non custodial conviction or just a Fixed Penalty notice?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
