Returning to the UK
We have lived in NZ since 2006. We are thinking of moving back to the UK next year. Our passports have expired. We are also now NZ citizens. We also have a 10 boy who was born in NZ.
Can anyone help.
Can we move back and is our boy allowed to live back in the UK.

Re: Returning to the UK
You have options:
- Get your passports renewed and obtain a passport for your son before you move
- arrive at the entry port without current passports. You will get questions and have to show your old passports. Your son, as the child of a British citizen, will, in all likely hood be allowed into the UK, but probably as a visitor. You will be asked to obtain your and his passport asap.
Personally, I'd get the passports before you leave NZ to save the hassle.

Sort out British passports for everyone before you return as you’ll need them to rent property, prove your right to work, etc..
