Yes I had them both countersigned by the same person.

Finally got an email requesting the email address for the person who countersigned the application. I provided it. They emailed her and requested further confirmation that she knows us and that she did indeed sign on the application. They preferred this to be done on business letterhead which was fine - she works for the state so we are more than legit

Received email from passport that all is well and that the application will now be processed. Apparently they do pull apps randomly and do some extra checks. I am ok with it as long as I get the passport in the next few weeks. Still waiting.

Passport arrived yesterday! We are ready. Everyone has a passport, in my kids case 2 passports.
