Q for Brit in Paris -CTA and non-EU spouses?
Regardless of the final Brexit, what are the terms that a non-EU citizen married to a UKC can stay in in Ireland under CTA rules, as long as they arrive prior to March 29th?

In theory the non-EU spouse would be treated the same as the non-EU spouse of an Irish citizen. There’s no precedent since the UK and Ireland joined the EU at the same time but that would be my interpretation.

Thank you BiP. Another quick follow up if I may. Does that mean that non-EU spouse would have to leave post Brexit to make the application or could they remain in Ireland and apply there? It would essentially be a change of status as I understand it. Appreciate that it is hard to predict.
